Following my letter of 24 November 1947 – Diary No. 1104 – I had to inform you that the construction of the Glane culvert is being postponed indefinitely for time-related and technical reasons, and furthermore, the Münster Waterways Authority, on behalf of the Central Administration for Inland Waterway Transport of the Amer. and Brit. occupied zones, had stated that it did not agree with the settlement of the works on the basis of the proposal you submitted on 12 October 1947, based on cost price, I would ask you to submit to me an interim invoice drawn up in a different manner. Your interim invoice dated 21 Oct. 1947 amounted to 132,000 RM. I further request, in accordance with today’s meeting, that you itemise all costs in accordance with your quotation of 1 Oct. 1946 and, in addition, include all other reimbursable costs (non-wage labour costs, building material costs, operating supplies and the like) in the invoice. This should amount to a total of around 110,000 RM.
